The Airtel Re 1
Entertainment store comes across as yet another strategy of the network
operator to get its customers hooked on to the internet. It looks like
Airtel’s Re 1 videos have managed to strike a chord with the masses and
this seems to have prompted the carrier to launch an entire store that
sells content for a buck.
Airtel prepaid and postpaid
customers can visit the entertainment store to buy a whole lot of
digital content for their mobile devices. This includes music, videos,
games, pictures and more. All you need to do to purchase digital data
from the store is dial 56789 from your respective phones and select
whatever you wish to purchase.
It should be noted that the
Re 1 Entertainment store is not limited to smartphones and can be
accessed via absolutely any handset. The company has revealed that as
many as 5500 gadgets have been listed as compatible with the latest
service. Airtel is also slated to introduce some internet browsing
offers that will start at as low as Re 1.
Schemes like these are
likely to encourage more and more people to adopt mobile internet. And
as we already know, Airtel has taken multiple steps to make the web
accessible to people. Apart from slashing 4G and 2G data rates, the
operator introduced Free Zone for free of charge access to some of the
Google mobile services and even collaborated with Huawei to provide free
Wi-Fi to commuters in Delhi.
It goes without saying that
Airtel will go all out to promote its new Re 1 Entertainment store
through television commercials, hoardings and different types of
advertisements amongst others.
