Good news for Whatsapp users, Nokia Asha 210 appears in India




The recently launched qwerty keypad based Nokia Asha 210,  has now appeared in two Indian stores. This dual SIM phone with dedicated Whatsapp key is a good phone for those who want to stay connected with friends and family.

We have today spotted the phone at Saholic and Infibeam stores sporting the ‘coming soon’ tag.  The Saholic post says that this phone may arrive on Indian shores by 30th of May this year.

The Nokia Asha 210 is budget phone adding to Asha series of phones that are already popular in India. The phone sports a 2.4 inch display with a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels which give it a 169 pixel per inches pixel density. The phone comes with a 2 megapixel camera equipped with a 4x digital zoom with white balance modes and automatic light sensitivity. The camera is decent enough and allows video recording at 10 frames per second.

The phone boasts of GPRS , Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity like any other leading smartphone and it has an option to increase its internal memory by up to 32 GB with a microSD card. This phone benefits from the partnership between Nokia and WhatsApp to offer the service for free on all Nokia Asha 210 devices with the WhatsApp button for their lifespan.

It will be available in cyan, black, magenta, and white colours and is expected to cost Rs 3900 in India
