Declared as National Park on January 26, 1915
Rocky Mountain National Park covers an area of 265, 828 acres and it was named after the Rocky Mountain. It has several hiking tracks and many laakes. This National Park is home to a large wildlife including black bears, mule deer, cougars and bighorn sheeps. Winter is the best season to explore this National Park as the peaks are covered with snow and there are many hiking trails for snowshoeing that are the main attractions in winter.
