Mesa Verde National Park

Mesa Verde National Park has covered the area of 52,121 acres and has more than 4,ooo archaeological places. The Park is also declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site. This park was created by US President Theodore Roosevelt as he wanted to protect over 600 cliff dwellings which were inhabited by the Anasazi’s between 600 to 1300 AD. These cliff dwellings were built within the caves. Some of the best and most notable sites in the park are Balcony house, Cliff Palace, Long House, Spruse Tree House and Square Tower House. While visiting the park, the upper mentioned places must be seen as your visit will be incomplete without them.
