With an area of 1,750,716 miles, it is the least-visited National Park in the United States. The park is just a 25 miles away from the arctic circle and is famous for back-country camping and hiking. The Park has a stunning river, some mountains and three regions of sand dunes. There are no roads to access the park, the park can be visited either by foot, dogsleds and chartered air taxis. The park also becomes home to about 500,000 caribous in winter when they migrate from Western Arctic region.
